Together for Weed: Supporting Local Families This Holiday Season
This winter, our community is facing an unexpected challenge.
Just before the holidays, approximately 160 workers at the Weed mill were laid off, leaving many local families navigating uncertainty during a season that should be filled with warmth, connection, and comfort.
These are our neighbors and friends — the people who make Weed the place we all love. As a small, family-owned business deeply tied to this town, we want to show up in a meaningful way and help bring some light into a difficult moment.
Introducing: Together for Weed — Goldenhour’s Mill Family Relief Fund
We’ve launched the Together for Weed: Mill Family Relief Fund to offer direct support to families affected by the mill closure. Our focus is on helping bring a sense of stability, relief, and holiday comfort to households experiencing an abrupt loss of income.
Funds raised will go toward things like:
Holiday toys and gifts
Warm winter clothing
Grocery support and essentials
Gas cards for job searches or commuting
Additional immediate needs as they come up
We’re working behind the scenes to organize the most effective and dignified way to distribute support, ensuring it goes directly to the families who need it most. More details will be shared as plans are finalized.

Every contribution — no matter the amount — makes a real difference for local families this season.
A Thank-You From Us
Anyone who donates and saves their receipt will receive 10% off one order at Goldenhour when we reopen after reconstruction. This is our small way of giving back to everyone who chooses to give to our community.
Standing With Weed
Even as our store remains under reconstruction, our commitment to this town hasn’t changed. Weed is our home, and the people here are our heart. This fund is one way we can come together and support families who truly need it right now.
Thank you for helping us make a little more room for kindness, care, and community this season.
Together for Weed. Always. 💛
