From the Ashes: Goldenhour’s Commitment to Rebuild in Weed
On the evening of September 29th, our Goldenhour Collective store on Main Street in Weed, CA was severely damaged by a fire that started in the alleyway and spread into our building. While the physical loss to our beloved dispensary is heartbreaking, we are deeply grateful that everyone is safe — our team, first responders, and neighbors.
Gratitude for First Responders
We want to take a moment to honor and thank the Weed Fire Department, Cal Fire, and Weed Police Department for their extraordinary response. These men and women acted swiftly and professionally, putting themselves at risk to contain the fire and protect our community. Their courage and commitment remind us how fortunate we are to reside in a town where people look out for one another. Our hearts are full of appreciation.
Our Team, Our Heart
To our Goldenhour team — you are the heart and soul of this business. In the middle of chaos and loss, you’ve shown remarkable strength, compassion, and unity. We’ve seen you reach out to one another, support each other, and stand strong in the face of uncertainty. That spirit is what makes Goldenhour more than just a dispensary — it’s what makes us family. We are committed to keeping this team together, and to rebuilding so we can once again serve this community side by side.
Our Community’s Strength
To the Weed community — your outpouring of support has overwhelmed us. From messages of encouragement to offers of help, we feel the love and resilience that define this town. Weed has faced challenges before, and time and again, it has risen stronger. This fire may have shaken our walls, but it has not touched our roots. This is a setback, not the end of our story.
Goldenhour will rebuild, reopen, and continue the work we’ve built together — supporting local farmers, serving our patients, and being part of the fabric of Weed. This town is our home, and we’re here for the long haul.
The Road Ahead
We know the journey ahead won’t be easy, but it’s one we will walk together. Goldenhour isn’t just a storefront — it’s a vision rooted in community, family, and care. With your support, encouragement, and love, we will rise from this stronger than before.
We’ll be sharing updates on our rebuilding journey here on our website, through our newsletter, and on social media. In the meantime, we invite you to stand with us — share your memories, your encouragement, and keep the Goldenhour spirit alive as we work to return.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you — to Weed, to our first responders, to our loyal customers, and to our team. Together, we will rebuild. Together, we’ll come back stronger than ever.
We’ll see you soon. 💛🏔️
